Through Your Eyes, Through Mine
Eyes don’t lie. But sometimes, neither do the questions behind them.
“Through Your Eyes, Through Mine” is a digital diptych that examines the intricacies of the gaze. Exploring how perception, love, affection and identity are formed by those who look at us. Altogether, these two pieces highlight two sides of perception: how we study others and how we wonder what they are studying within us.

Title: Number 1#
Date: 2025
Medium: Digital Image printed on Mulberry on Wood Panel
Size: 8x10 inches
“Number 1#” focuses on the concept of self-perception, questioning how the “self” can be built up through outward perception. The phrase, “Number 1# girl in your eyes”, highlights the uncertainty and wariness immersed in being viewed and judged by others. The cool palette of blues and magentas create an area of questioning worth, allure, and the blurred boundaries between confidence and self-doubt. This piece invites and asks viewers to think about these blurred boundaries between confidence and self-doubt and what it means to be chosen, percieved, and/or desired.
